Description
Department: Human Sciences Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.Description:
The Autism Services Program Manager supervises and provides clinic- and community-based behavioral services to children with autism and other developmental disabilities and their families.
*Please note this is a grant funded position. Continuation of the position is dependent upon future funding.
Duties:
- Assists faculty in the supervision and training of part-time graduate and/or undergraduate research assistants.
- Conducts behavioral assessments; develops and evaluates behavior intervention plans implemented by caregivers; consults with schools, families, and programs; and reviews and documents data-based progress.
- Manages and evaluates program to ensure compliance with contractor and state regulations and performs related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education or a related field.
- Experience supervising staff.
- Experience conducting functional analyses and other behavioral assessments, function-based treatment of problem behavior, and caregiver training.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Eligible for a behavior analyst license in Texas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervision of students pursuing BCBA or BCaBA fieldwork experience.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst in Texas.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of effective assessment and intervention strategies for reduction of problem behavior and acquisition of skills.
- Must possess effective supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of behavioral skills training for caregiver training.
- Skills in Microsoft office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Skills in graphing behavioral data and proficiency in GraphPad Prism.
- Ability to address and resolve conflict.
- Ability to communicate scientific principles of behavior analysis in an understandable way to others.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in writing.
