What You'll Get to Do
The Maintenance Technician I is focused on maintaining industrial equipment such as furnaces, CNC equipment, cutting machinery and our insulated glass line, and reports to the Shift Supervisor.
This role is perfect for an individual who is organized, flexible, and who is mechanically inclined. A vital member of the Maintenance Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
- Perform preventive maintenance work on standard equipment and situations to ensure maximum uptime and reliability of manufacturing equipment to support production goals. Maintenance can include cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery, or work as directed by the leadership team.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts, following manufactures specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Ability to maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; follow all environmental, health and safety policies as stated in employee handbook.
- Must have demonstrated electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment required.
- Previous experience in a mechanic or maintenance role required.
- Must be able to complete our forklift training course.
- Must be able to complete our overhead crane training course.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including different shifts and weekends as determined by your supervisor.
Earn $21-$25 per hour (+$2 per hour shift differential) depending on years of related experience. Monday - Friday with some Saturdays based on need. Hours for training will be 8am-4:30pm, then will move to a swing shift schedule. Overtime Opportunities Average 40-50 hours per week
