In this role you’ll see some of the most untouched and unique places in Australia, as you travel by road or small plane, to bring OT to some of the most remote Indigenous communities across Arnhem land.
Enjoy a three day weekend every week, 5 weeks annual leave and a 4 day working week so you can truly explore Arnhem Land.
We are now looking for a full-time or part-time Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team of GPs, OTs, Physiotherapists and Speech Pathologists, based in Nhulunbuy, NT.
While based on the Gove Peninsular each therapist joins a multidisciplinary team - dedicated to taking a regular team to a remote community - to support individuals to live their best possible life. See more about our team here
Base Salary: $109,324 - $125,672

Your responsibilities will include:
- NDIS comprehensive assessments and NDIS reporting
- Learning the unique cultural, physical, and emotional needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Delivering and documenting on individual patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress with cultural sensitivity;
- Collaborating with our multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic, respectful care and to adjust treatment plans as needed
- Being supportive, flexible and adaptable in supporting the healthcare team
- Your caseload will be predominantly NDIS with occasional private and aged care clients
- Day-to-day - providing occupational therapy services within the local schools or clinics for 1-2 days of the week
About You
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is kind, positive, caring and passionate about quality care for all.
Our ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years experience as an Occupational Therapist in a private practice environment, and have the confidence and ability to operate independently. We are open and encourage applications from candidates with all levels of experience, who are looking for their next adventure.
You’ll require current AHPRA registration and have prior experience working with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people within a remote or regional community.
