Responsibilities
At SAM, you'll play a key role in transforming LiDAR and imagery into precise mapping deliverables that power tomorrow's infrastructure. You'll support utilities projects across the country and gain hands-on experience with industry-leading tools while learning from experts who are invested in your growth. Key Responsibilities
- Daily processing of geospatial data, including evaluating accuracy and sufficiency, and ensuring compliance to applicable project and industry standards related to aerial mapping products
- Classification of LiDAR point clouds
- Compilation of mapping features from LiDAR point clouds
- Compilation of mapping features from orthophotography
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Eagerness to advance and grow in a geospatial career and a strong commitment to making significant contributions to the team
- Strong work ethic and work history, demonstrated integrity, and personal accountability for contributing to the team's success
- Excellent computer and technical skills, including MS Office Suite
- Electric Transmission experience preferred
- Microstation and TerraSolid experience is highly preferred
- Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skill
- Experience with any of the following is preferred:
- CAD
- GIS
- Spreadsheets
- Orthophotography
- LiDAR Point Clouds (highly preferred)
- LiDAR Classification (highly preferred)
- Mapping from LiDAR or Imagery (highly preferred)
