Description
PM Shift: 3pm-11pm- Direct and Supervise Nursing Staff
Oversee day-to-day functions of nursing assistants, ensure compliance with policies, conduct evaluations, and provide leadership to maintain quality care. - Medication Administration and Documentation
Prepare, administer, and document medications per physician orders, maintain accurate narcotic records, and report discrepancies. - Resident Care and Monitoring
Deliver direct nursing care, monitor residents' physical/emotional condition, respond to incidents, and ensure care aligns with individualized plans. - Admissions, Transfers, and Discharges
Coordinate and perform resident admissions, discharges, and transfers, including related documentation and communication with families. - Care Plan Oversight
Review and implement care plans daily, ensure nursing assistants are informed, and collaborate on MDS assessments and care planning updates. - Charting and Reporting
Accurately document in medical records, complete incident reports, transcribe physician orders, and communicate resident status updates. - Infection Control and Safety
Ensure infection control protocols and safety regulations are followed, maintain clean and sanitary conditions, and monitor staff compliance. - Training and Staff Development
Assist in new employee orientation, provide in-service education, and participate in training programs for continuing education and compliance. - Communication and Collaboration
Maintain strong communication with residents, families, interdisciplinary teams, and external agencies to support coordinated care. - Emergency and Incident Response
Respond to occupational exposures, emergencies, and code situations appropriately, and assist in evacuations or disaster preparedness as needed.
