Description Vitalant is seeking a Lead Mobile Phlebotomist dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Lead Mobile Phlebotomist is vital. As a Donor Care Team Leader, you'll play a key leadership role in ensuring smooth and efficient blood collection operations at our centers and mobile drives. You'll guide and support a dedicated team of Donor Care Technicians, optimize donor flow, and ensure an exceptional donor experience. This role combines hands-on support with strategic coordination, including staff assignments, compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and collaboration with blood drive coordinators. You'll also help drive continuous improvement and contribute to our life-transforming work by empowering your team and supporting organizational goals.

- Function as an operational lead, supporting staff with interviewing and phlebotomy processes, and providing coaching when needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for blood drive coordinators on-site
- Coordinate the set up and breakdown of equipment for mobile blood drives.
- Ensure the comfort and information of blood donors during phlebotomy process.
- Assist the Manager or Supervisor in providing direction and/or supervision of Donor Care Technicians, providing input for employee performance evaluations.
- Drive company vehicles including vans, buses to drive sites (CDL Required)
Requirements
Knowledge/ Education
1. High school graduate\\GED Able to work flexible shifts, varied schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays, on call,
as needed.
8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
9. Must be able to read and comprehend written procedures and instructions.
10. Basic working knowledge or Windows operating system, keyboard usage, and PC.
11. Must be trained and knowledgeable in using and maintaining applicable equipment that
may include automated red cell and plasma, apheresis and whole blood equipment.
12. Physical ability to lift, bend and reach.
13. Excellent customer service skills.
14. Able to maintain donor, patient and employee confidentiality.
15. Ability to travel, including overnights, as required.
16. Must possess a good driving record (if required to drive a company vehicle).
2. Meets job requirements and successful completion of supervisory training program
within six months required.
3. Thorough knowledge of SOPs required.
Licenses/ Certifications
1. Valid in-state driver's license required.
Experience 1. Two years previous work experience in a DCT position or healthcare-related experience
preferred.

1. Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and
responsibilities.
2. Demonstrated leadership and excellent communication skills to lead other employees.
3. Donor interviewing and phlebotomy technique.
4. Able to handle donor reaction.
5. Knowledge of business practices.
