Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payments Business Analyst with a strong background in the payments domain, leadership capabilities, and experience in agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have over 9 years of experience in payment systems and processes, and will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives, driving process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative payment solutions.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the analysis and documentation of business requirements related to payment systems and processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation.
- Develop and maintain detailed functional specifications, process maps, and user stories.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior analysts and team members.
- Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure successful implementation of payment solutions.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the payments domain, providing guidance and support to other team members.
- Conduct user acceptance testing and validate system changes to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the payments team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in the payments domain, with a focus on business analysis.
- Strong understanding of payment systems, technologies, and industry regulations.
- Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements and functional specifications.
- Leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring teams.
- Experience with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with payment processing platforms and technologies.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) and Agile (e.g., Certified Scrum Master) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in digital payments and emerging payment technologies.
- Knowledge of global payment standards and practices.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
