Description
Lead Accountant – Roles and Responsibilities
As Lead Accountant at C-Lock Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of a fast-growing, global technology company at the forefront of livestock sustainability. Your responsibilities will include:
Core Accounting & Financial Management
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and monthly close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budget reports, and cash flow forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals during annual audits and filing processes.
- Assist in managing international transactions, including currency conversions and cross-border invoicing, as relevant to our global customer base in over 45 countries.
Employee Onboarding & Payroll Administration
- Manage new employee onboarding documentation, including tax forms, direct deposit setup, and benefits enrollment.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timely submission, and compliance with federal and state labor regulations.
- Maintain employee financial records and liaise with HR on compensation adjustments, reimbursements, and leave tracking.
Benefits & Insurance Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact with health insurance and other benefit providers, managing renewals, claims coordination, and plan updates.
- Monitor and administer company insurance policies (e.g., liability, property, workers’ compensation), ensuring adequate coverage and cost control.
- Provide benefit orientation and support to employees, ensuring clarity on plan options and company policies.
Operational & Strategic Support
- Support grant and R&D accounting for research-related revenue and expense tracking.
- Collaborate with leadership on financial planning, growth modeling, and operational budgeting.
Requirements
Experienced Accountant preferably CPA.
