The Team
A&M's Disputes and Investigations practice has set a new standard for bringing a practical, results-oriented approach to solving problems related to complex disputes involving economic damages, forensic accounting matters, and business valuations. From the boardroom to the courtroom, the firm delivers a wide array of solutions to contentious situations by drawing on the deep skills, diverse disciplines and experiences of its professionals who offer a unique ability to articulate complex findings in a clear and meaningful manner. The practice is seeking an intern for the Denver office for summer 2026.
How you will contribute
An intern will focus on analyzing accounting, financial, and economic issues in the context of commercial disputes and other litigation matters, including calculating economic damages and conducting forensic accounting analyses.
An intern will work in a team-based, multi-task environment that requires precision work that is both qualitative and quantitative often with tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed financial and accounting analyses of companies operating in a variety of industries
- Assist in developing and maintaining financial models and damages analyses, including lost profits calculations
- Review and analyze case documents
- Perform independent market and industry research related to client projects
- Assist with drafting and editing expert reports and other deliverables, including the preparation of tables, exhibits, and charts
- Participate in internal team meetings and brainstorming sessions to gain exposure to economic damages methodologies
- Balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with peers and all levels of engagement management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (in progress) and strong coursework in accounting, finance, or related quantitative or business subjects required
- 3.0 GPA required, target graduation in 2027, and CPA eligibility track (preferred, but not required)
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a team-based environment
- Strong interest in accounting, financial, and economic issues
- Ability to maintain organized documentation and file management practices
- Flexibility to work to meet tight deadlines
- Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future. A&M will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this role

Compensation Statement
The hourly rate is $35 per hour.
