POSITION TITLE: Inside Sales Representative
POSITION REPORTS TO: VP of Commercial Strategy & Operations
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving new business opportunities through outreach and meeting generation while managing and enriching Inovonics' extensive CRM of leads, contacts, and accounts. This role focuses on account research, running targeted sales cadences to set qualified meetings for our five Regional Sales Managers, and maintaining data hygiene. The ideal candidate will excel at proactive outreach to key decision-makers in the commercial security industry, detail-oriented research and target prioritization, and data management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute multi-touch sales cadences using Salesforce High Velocity Sales, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo to generate qualified meetings for the sales team.
- Conduct comprehensive research and data hygiene activities across our CRM leads, contacts, and accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all information in Salesforce.
- Identify and create new target accounts within the commercial security industry, developing comprehensive contact profiles for key buyer personas including Owners, Technical Leads, Heads of Sales, and Director+ level executives.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers to prioritize outreach strategies and develop targeted account penetration plans for high-value prospects.
- Maintain accurate and detailed activity tracking in Salesforce, including all research findings, contact attempts, and engagement metrics.
- Conduct initial discovery conversations to qualify prospects based on need, budget, authority, and timeline before scheduling meetings with appropriate Sales Managers.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators including contact rates, conversion rates, and booked meeting.
- Achieve monthly meeting quotas, with compensation tied to year-to-date performance.
- Stay current on Inovonics' commercial security solutions including EchoStream® network products, panel-agnostic systems, SaaS solutions, and integration capabilities.
- Participate in regular sales team meetings, training sessions, and product knowledge updates.
- Support marketing initiatives by providing feedback on messaging effectiveness and market intelligence gathered through outreach activities.
- Additional sales support activities as assigned by the VP of Commercial Strategy & Operations.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- "Hunter" mentality
- Can articulate an approach for prospecting into a Commercial Security VAR
- 0-3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in technology, security, or related industries.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough research and maintain high data quality standards.
- Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, including data management and reporting capabilities.
- Proficiency with sales engagement tools such as High Velocity Sales, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo; preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to craft compelling outreach messages.
- Self-motivated with a competitive drive to exceed targets and contribute to team success.
- Basic understanding of commercial security systems, wireless technology, or IoT solutions preferred but not required.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with strong time management skills for both office and remote workdays.
- Resilience and persistence in handling rejection while maintaining a positive, professional demeanor.
- Team player mentality with willingness to collaborate across departments and support overall sales objectives.
EDUCATIONAL BACKKGROUND
Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, or similar field is preferred.
COMPENSATION AND OTHER
Base Salary: $55,000
Commission: Uncapped with OTE of $25,000
WORK ARRANGEMENT
Hybrid position requiring 3 days per week (M, Tu, Th) in office with additional attendance as required for team meetings, training, or special events.
