Description
OverviewWe are seeking a full-time HRIS Systems Administrator 2 in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for serving as subject matter expert for moderately complex system administration, application, and end user support for assigned systems. This role will develop basic assigned reports and metrics utilizing Garmin's HR systems and databases and analyze data to support data driven decision making, effective management of HR and business operations and process improvement.
Essential Functions
- Thoroughly understands Garmin HR systems, processes and databases including but not limited to: ADP, UKG, iCIMS and Oracle to effectively apply advanced administration and reporting functionality
- Provides full range of systems administration support with normal supervision and escalation to IT
- Performs basic application configuration
- Designs, documents, implements and monitors moderately complex ad hoc and ongoing reports in HR systems that accurately reflect internal customer requirements and capture data that can be analyzed to manage business operations
- Deploys reporting capabilities to automate manual activities, improve processes and enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Analyzes HR processes/operations, expenses, results and other data and provide HR decision support to facilitate data driven decision making and capture data that can be analyzed to manage business operations
- Analyzes, designs, tests, implements and supports innovative technology, HR tools, applications and systems
- Serves as HR subject matter expert in the execution of moderately complex HRIS tasks
- Practices program and project leadership, manages resources to meet goals and leads assigned initiatives with client group for programs, policies, and procedures to support organizational culture
- Partners with client organization and provides leadership on HRIS initiatives and business solutions
- Assists senior HR professionals and HR Managers in the facilitation of difficult interactions among stakeholders and facilitates conflict resolution meetings
- Recommends methods for integration of HR services with organizational initiatives to develop and achieve HR tactical goals
- Conducts assessments to address problems/implement solutions within business units
- Ensures compliance with HR related legislation and regulations and Garmin HR policies with oversight from HR management and Legal
- Applies a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities
- Works collaboratively/professionally with other Garmin associates and performs as a solid contributor on cross functional teams to achieve goals
- Applies Garmin's Mission, Vision, Values & Quality Policy and enthusiastically exhibits a desire to see Garmin succeed
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Business, Human Resources or related field AND a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience OR a Master's Degree in one of the fields noted above AND a minimum of 1 year relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
- Maintains working knowledge of organizational business units and competitive market
- Proven reputation as an approachable/effective HR professional serving associates and the organization
- Demonstrates leadership presence while securing management support, political savvy and the ability to influence decision making
- Demonstrates working knowledge of measurement concepts, data collection, and analysis
- Demonstrates understanding of HR related legislation, practices, processes, programs and technology
- Demonstrates strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated effective presentation skills and public speaking ability
- Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution experience
- Demonstrates the capacity to mentor or train others
- Must possess previous experience and commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding business and Human Resources matters
- Must be positive, detail/quality oriented, organized, team oriented and a multi-tasker, with the ability to prioritize and manage time in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment with excellent follow up skills and minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to leverage business knowledge and HR metrics in decision making
- Knowledge and/or experience with Oracle HR Management systems, iCIMS Reporting universe, UKG Workforce Management Pro
