Description

Lakeside Book Company is looking for a safety minded Hoist/Cherry Picker Operator to join our Plainfield team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maneuvering hoists and/or cherry picker to lift, lower, and transport materials safely across the warehouse. You'll work closely with a dedicated team, ensuring that products are moved to their proper locations and maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities

• Operate cherry picker and other lifting equipment to safely move materials within the warehouse.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
• Ensure all lifting operations comply with safety regulations and company standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of hoists and equipment to ensure they are in safe working order.
• Assist in the organization and maintenance of the warehouse inventory.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and material handling.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management promptly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months experience as a hoist operator or in a similar role is required.
• Comfortable with heights of 20+ feet.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in a warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in all operations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs throughout your shift.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work well within a team and also independently when required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.

Shift, Pay, & Location

Pay: $18.75/hr, plus $2.50/hr shift differential

Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm, with overtime as needed
