Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Shop

Hiring Immediately; PAID WEEKLY!

Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday 7AM - 5PM (Overtime Eligible)

Pay Range: $26 - $31+/hr Dependent upon Experience + Quarterly Branch Performance Bonus

Location: This position will be based in the shop located in Tampa, FL.

Position Requirements

Sunstate is a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis.

• You should have 2 to 4+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a heavy construction or equipment rental background.
• Intermediate experience with major & minor repairs of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engines on heavy construction equipment.
• Experience with Tier 4 and Tier 4 final engines and aftertreatment systems preferred.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and equipment repairs.
• Must have the necessary tools you need to perform repairs; averaging $5,000+ in value.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
• Understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods.
• Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards performing equipment repairs.
