Various Position: Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series, Open ranks
Due to planned growth of imaging services, the Department of Radiological Sciences anticipates
openings for full-time professorial position in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series for clinicians
with expertise in any of the following subspecialties:
- Breast Imaging
- Abdominal Radiology
- Cardiovascular and Thoracic Radiology
- Musculoskeletal Radiology
- Nuclear Medicine/Molecular Imaging
- Neuroradiology
- Pediatric Radiology
- Vascular and Interventional Radiology
Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree. Training in a fellowship program is highly desirable
(preferably an accredited program in CAQ sub-specialties). Position includes clinical service,
participation in research programs and teaching of medical students and residents. Academic
appointment rank (Assistant, Associate, or full Professor) will be recommended based on training and
experience. Candidates must be American Board of Radiology board certified or eligible and eligible for
a California medical license.
The University of California, Irvine Medical Center is a 411-bed tertiary and quaternary care hospital with
all residencies. A new hospital has officially opened, with all outpatient services now fully operational
and serving patients. The inpatient facility, including emergency services, is on track to open in
December 2025, further expanding access to comprehensive healthcare in the region. There are
collegial relationships with all services. UCI offers competitive salary and excellent benefits with an
incentive plan. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAARAD salary benchmarks for Radiology ranging from $101,151 to $570,420. The posted UC salary scales set the base pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation
