Meridian Hand Therapy opened its doors in 2005 and has now grown to three locations - Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, and Northridge. We feel that care should be patient-centered and believe that our patients deserve skilled, quality care in a supportive and caring environment.
Job Description:
We are currently looking to hire a full-time or part-time PT or OT (CHT or experience/strong interest in hand therapy) to join our dynamic and talented team. While experience in hand therapy is preferred, we would consider a therapist new to the field who has a desire to learn and a strong work ethic. This opening is for our Northridge / Westlake Village location.
Requirements
Desired Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited OT or PT program with a Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctoral degree in OT or PT.
- Current CA state license for OT or PT
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology of the upper extremity
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Desire to be part of a collaborative team
Responsibilities:
- Complete patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for upper extremity injuries
- Provide manual therapy appropriate for each patient’s diagnosis that assists with the patient’s return of range of motion, strength, and functional independence
- Educate patients on home programs including range of motion, strengthening, joint protection, safety precautions and more
- Collaborate with coworker for coordinated care of each patient
