AAHA Accredited, Colonial Terrace Animal Hospital in Dubuque, IA is hiring for an Urgent Care/GP Hybrid Veterinarian to join our 7 Doctor practice!

Colonial Terrace Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal practice offering the best in medical, surgical, and customer care and has been in the community since 1972. Our clinic is newly expanded/remodeled adding surgical and dental suites, a seperate cat waiting area, additional exam rooms, ultrasound room, a staff room, additional office space, and an apartment room to stay overnight if commuting! These changes have allowed us to better accommodate our patients and staff, and help to continue offering the high level (AAHA Accredited) care our clients (and staff) have come to expect over the years.

At Colonial Terrace, we perform a variety of routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries and dentistry. As mentioned, we are a small animal hospital, but we also see a small percentage of exotics! We support everything from wellness exams to orthopedic surgeries, laser therapy, ultrasound, ophthalmology, radiology, dentals, and more! Plus, we have a surgeon that comes in when needed! We're a collaborative, FUN team that has a staff with all their own niches.

Additional Perks? Other than a higher salary and production potential due to having Urgent Care caseloads, we have a nice, modern apartment on site if you don't live nearby

Most importantly, we have a well-trained and well-utilized support staff. They are empowered to do everything they are trained to do, including taking radiographs, placing IV catheters, intubating, monitoring, and medicating patients. Every doctor is well-supported by minimally 2.5 technicians and assistants each day at our current 7 doctor practice!

Ideal qualifications:

• Urgent Care or Emergency Experience
• Iowa Veterinary License - active and in good standing
• Team-oriented mentality that supports our collaborative, family culture
• Ideal schedule being weekends 8-8 and picking up another weekday shift to be considered full time (No surgery necessary) (No overnight care)- Let's discuss!
• Preferably 2+ years experience
