Description
The General Manager (GM) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of our full-service mid-sized hotel, including a restaurant and lounge. This individual will be a visionary leader with a proven track record of success in hospitality management, adept at balancing financial performance with an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on manager who inspires and empowers their team to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business objectives, including revenue growth, profitability, and market share.
- Stay ahead of competitor activities to ensure the hotel remains competitive.
Operational Management: Oversee all departments—front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, sales, supply chain and maintenance—to ensure seamless and efficient daily operations. Establish and maintain high standards for quality, cleanliness, and guest service. - Financial Oversight: Manage the hotel's budget, including forecasting, cost control, and revenue management. Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to boost profitability.
- Guest Experience: Champion a culture of outstanding guest service. Handle guest feedback, resolve issues promptly and effectively, and ensure every guest interaction reflects our brand's commitment to excellence.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse and high-performing team. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment where employees feel valued and motivated to deliver their best. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide continuous feedback and development opportunities.
- Sales & Marketing: Develop and implement strategies that drive occupancy and revenue. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and community partners.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure the hotel operates in full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Uphold rigorous safety and security standards for both guests and employees.
Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel management, with a strong focus on full-service properties that include food and beverage operations.Education:
- A bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
