The Shield’s School of Business at Saint Francis University invites applications for a full-time 9-month non-tenured faculty position in Criminal Justice. This position is responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in criminal justice and sociology such as crime and delinquency, juvenile justice and treatment, sociology, social research, and related courses. The successful candidate will start Spring 2026(preferred) or Fall 2026 and teach in a traditional day school program requiring classroom instruction, as well as online.
Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills, a willingness to mentor students, and the ability to work collaboratively with others, as well as serve on the Shield’s School of Business and University committees. A record of highly effective teaching, scholarship, and service is expected.
Requirements
A master’s degree in criminal justice, criminology, or closely related field with a strong preference for at least two years of successful employment in criminal justice or related areas. Ph.D in criminal justice or criminology or closely related area is preferred. Prior college teaching experience is a plus. Rank will be commensurate with degree and experience.
