Description
DescriptionThe Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time tenure track or clinical track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor / Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor level in the Department of Clinical Practice & Operative Dentistry. Responsibilities include didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical teaching. For tenure-track appointments, independent research, scholarly activities and service to the University are also expected. Excellence in teaching is integral to the mission of Southern Illinois University and the School of Dental Medicine.

Asst Prof/Clin Asst Prof: $120,000-$130,000
Assoc Prof/Clin Assoc Prof: $130,00-$140,000
Prof/Clin Prof: $140,000-$150,000
Qualifications
A D.M.D. or D.D.S. degree from a CODA accredited dental school or international equivalent. Candidates should demonstrate an interest in teaching pre-doctoral students in General Dentistry. Advanced Education in General Dentistry training is desirable. Experience in evidence-based teaching and dental material sciences is also highly desirable. Applicants must be able to meet the requirements to obtain a dental license or a restricted faculty license in Illinois. Opportunity for extramural faculty practice is available.
