WHO WE ARE 

The position is within Kestra Investment Management and represents a unique opportunity to help architect, develop, and manage the messaging around a new model portfolio offering a focus on ESG/Sustainable investment themes. The Investment Management unit aims to provide a broad suite of investment solutions and expertise that financial professionals can use to help their clients. This role will work directly with the portfolio management team.

ROLE

KIM has committed to develop additional model portfolio offerings that focus on ESG to complement our existing suite. We are seeking additional expertise on values-based investing to help marry that approach with our existing approach to due diligence, asset allocation and communication. 

We are looking for a consultant who is experienced in broad ESG/Sustainable investing in public markets across multiple asset classes, with a particular emphasis on the universe of available mutual fund and ETF firms that offer these products. Must have experience in retail asset management or wealth management.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF CONSULTANT

        Review funds that are currently being used by advisors within our community to understand their approach, how they communicate the approach to their clients and whether those funds should be considered for inclusion

        Identify and recommend which ESG/sustainability criteria should be considered for inclusion in our portfolios (e.g. – how many criteria are there, what are they, and what criteria besides religion should be excluded from consideration)

        Establish repeatable due diligence process to determine and monitor whether a fund is appropriately following its stated criteria, avoiding funds that may be greenwashing

        Identify the best data source for classifying ESG characteristics of ETFs that claim ESG status

        Establish criteria by which we judge on-going performance

        Help us develop a value statement that would anchor our portfolio decisions and help describe the strategies

        Write white paper that explains our approach to clients

Looking for a commitment of 15 hours per week for four months. Position is remote. Hourly compensation is negotiable depending on experience.
