About the Practice:
We are a well-established, specialist equine veterinary practice located in metropolitan Adelaide, offering high-quality care to both racetrack and hospitalised patients. Our large, experienced team includes six veterinarians, one of whom is a registered specialist in equine surgery. The clinic features a fully equipped surgical theatre, intensive care stabling, and capacity for up to 10 hospitalised horses.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equine Veterinarian to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time role involving both racetrack and hospital-based work. Duties will include the care of inpatients, administration of equine anaesthesia, lameness evaluation, diagnostic imaging, and some ambulatory work.

The position is suitable for an experienced equine veterinarian or a new graduate interested in developing their career in a supportive, specialist-led environment. For recent graduates, this position may be structured as an internship.

 
Key Responsibilities:
-  Provide high-quality clinical care to equine patients, both hospitalised and ambulatory

-  Administer and monitor equine anaesthesia

-  Conduct lameness evaluations and performance horse assessments

-  Perform diagnostic imaging (radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy)

-  Deliver professional and timely communication to clients and colleagues

-  Participate in racetrack work and on-call roster as required

-  Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

-  Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary veterinary team

Requirements

Essential Criteria:
-  Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent veterinary degree

-  Eligibility for registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of South Australia

-  Strong interest in equine medicine, surgery, and racetrack work
