Our manufacturing facilities located in Clackamas, OR, Vancouver, WA, and Rock Hill, SC allow us to serve diverse markets such as Agriculture, Industrial, Municipal, Rental, and Mining.Join our team in Clackamas, OR, as an Engineering Test Technician! In this hands-on role, you'll put pumps to the test in our lab and play a key part in supporting Engineering and R&D.
This is a full-time, day-shift position (Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) offering competitive pay of $25.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience.

About the position:
The Engineering Test Technician will set up testing loops and perform required pump testing per customer specifications. Interpretation of testing results before handoff to Engineering and/or Sales. Assists with research and development of new Cornell products or modifications to existing products.
What You'll Do:
- Execute performance & R&D tests that meet applicable codes and standards.
- Works with Engineering to plan and coordinate R&D testing programs.
- Designs and fabricates new test fixtures and loops.
- Performs engineering calculations related to pump testing.
- Examine parts for conformance with dimensional specifications with Lab tools (calipers, hydraulic templates) or by coordinating with the shop Inspector when necessary.
- Coordinates and participates in installing pumps into the system. Connecting valves, pumps, hydraulic, mechanical, or electrical controls, cabling, tubing, power source, and indicating instruments.
- Activates/monitors controls to apply electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical power and subject test items to successive steps in the test cycle.
- Communicate test results to the Supervisor, Engineering, or Sales for review.
- Pump assembly and rework.
- Assists with maintenance of test equipment, instrumentation, and test facility as needed.
- Supports other test personnel or departments as needed to meet daily goals.

- Proven hands-on mechanical skills and strong aptitude for working with tools and equipment.
- Testing ability: Set up, run, and read pump tests accurately.
- Teamwork: Work closely with the shop, Engineering, and Sales.
- Problem-solving: Build fixtures and find practical solutions.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
At least 2 years of experience working with heavy equipment and/or rotating machinery (required)
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field (preferred).
