Description:

Echocardiography and noninvasive vascular technologist understands all aspects of cardiac and vascular diseases and performs different types of echocardiography and noninvasive vascular testing with accuracy and analytical skills, in accordance with BHSF and IAC standards. The technologist is responsible for the operation of the laboratory equipment, and for performing and communicating results of all types of echocardiography and noninvasive vascular testing to other healthcare providers. The technologist should maintain a high standard of medical ethics at all times and should be self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of cardiac/vascular diseases as well as new procedures and applications as they evolve. Estimated pay range for this position is $32.60 - $45.64 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications:

Degrees:

• High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.

Licenses & Certifications:

• ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist.
• Basic Life Support.
• CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
• ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.
• CCI Registered Vascular Sonographer.

Additional Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited allied health program, preferably with separate track on cardiovascular ultrasonography.
• ARDMS – Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or CCI – Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
• ARDMS - Registered Vascular Technologist or CCI - Registered Vascular Specialist.
• Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
