Now Hiring: Veterinarian
Family-Owned, Fiercely Friendly, and Slightly Obsessed with Your Dog
Do you enjoy long walks (to the exam room), candlelit dinners (next to a panting golden retriever), and meaningful conversations (with clients about their cat’s very specific dietary needs)? If so, your dream job awaits!
We’re East Hills Veterinary Hospital, a family-owned 4-doctor practice in Antioch, CA, where the pets are beloved, the clients are loyal, and the team is like that fun group of cousins who know just how weird things can get — and love it.
About the Job:
We’re looking for a full-time or part-time veterinarian who can balance compassion, competence, and comedic timing when a pug farts loudly mid-exam or poops in your pocket on the way to the treatment area.
What you’ll do:
Provide top-notch care to dogs and cats-and euthanize the occasional rabbit.
Perform wellness exams, surgeries, dentistry, and maybe a little emotional support therapy for the anxious pet parent.
Collaborate with a down-to-earth team that communicates in medical terms and memes.
What You Get:
ProSal, Base salary: $180,000
Signing/Retention bonus available
Paid vacation (we insist you leave - we’ll cover the chaos - just promise to come back, OK?)
Continuing education allowance (yes, we want you to get smarter)
Medical, Dental, SIMPLE IRA, and professional dues
No corporate overlords. Just real medicine, real teamwork, and real snacks.
Starbucks on Fridays and periodic treats from clients
Who You Are:
A licensed DVM who can tell a Labrador they’re a “good boy” with genuine enthusiasm.
Able to explain complex treatment plans and tolerate clients who refer to their dog as their “furbaby” (we do it too).
Sense of humor required — you will be pooped on. Emotionally and literally.
Bonus:
Your scrubs have seen things.
You consider “Who’s a good boy?!” part of your clinical vocabulary.
You can tell when a cat’s just pretending not to like you.
Apply now and help us keep Antioch’s pets healthy, happy, and only mildly dramatic. Email your resume to Dr. Danny Brown at [email protected]
