Description
Class C Driver
The Class C Driver is responsible for managing and collecting daily donations from grocery stores, wholesalers, farmers, and individual or corporate donors participating in donation drives. In addition, the driver assists with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of warehouses and the vehicle fleet.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Drive company vehicles to complete donation pick-ups, product deliveries, and food drive barrel deliveries/pick-ups.
Safely operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) to perform warehouse duties including receiving, storage, order pulling, salvage, produce sorting, and receiving.
Maintain positive relationships with partner agencies, grocery stores, and other personnel.
Record and compile weights for all items picked up and complete necessary paperwork for inventory tracking.
Sort, organize, and restock items in designated warehouse and cooler areas.
Adhere to standards regarding product quality, dating, and rotation on trucks and in the warehouse.
Monitor vehicle and equipment condition; maintain equipment logs and complete vehicle log sheets.
Assist with organization and cleanliness of warehouses and vehicle fleet.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills and Experience Required:
Possession and maintenance of a clean California Class C drivers license.
At least 1 year of route driving experience in 24ft26ft refrigerated and dry cargo box trucks with liftgates.
At least 1 year of warehouse experience, including inventory/order picking, safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks, heavy lifting, and other related tasks.
Proven track record of dependability with strong safety and attendance history.
Ability to meet physical job requirements (occasionally lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs., moving pallets up to 2,000 lbs., etc.).
Professional demeanor, flexibility, and ability to respond to multiple demands.
