Job Summary: Transtech Engineers, Inc. is requesting resumes for highly qualified Deputy Building Officials and Building Officials to join our Building and Safety Team. As a growing Engineering Consulting Company based in Chino, CA, our clients consist of Municipalities throughout Southern California. The qualified candidate will plan, organize, and manage all building division functions that include plan check, inspection services, building permit issuance and will serve as acting City Building Official providing enforcement and interpretation of all State of California and local building codes, ordinances and regulations related to safety, construction, and occupancy of structures. The candidate will work under general supervision of the Company’s Principal Building Official.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Certification as Building Official
- Certification as Plans Examiner and/or Building Inspector is highly desirable
- 5+ years of experience for Municipal Building Departments or as a Consultant
- 2+ years of Management/Supervisory responsibility
- Strong leader who is highly motivated and organized
- Comprehensive knowledge of recent Federal, State, and Municipal rules, regulations and codes related to construction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Knowledge of using technology
- Experience with electronic plan review
- Valid CA Class “C” Driver’s License
- CASp Certification is a plus
