Customer Focus: Our customers are the reason our company exists; they define the North of Boston Media Group's purpose. It is the responsibility of every employee, regardless of department or position to provide exemplary customer service to every customer, whether they are readers, advertisers or co-workers. This mindset is an essential element of the Customer Service Professional position.
Overview:The Customer Service Professional position resolves any incoming company questions, issues, or complaints. This may range from missed newspaper deliveries to billing issues to trouble accessing their digital publications. Training is provided, and higher level support is available nearby.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Serves customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service
problems. - Resolve various customer concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
- Maintains customer records by updating account information.
- Maintains financial accounts by processing customer transactions and adjustments.
- Solicits additional NOBMG products and services available.
- Prompt data entry of subscriber details and general file maintenance.
- Assist customers primarily over the phone, but also help with email support and occasional walk-ins.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prints carrier route lists and customer screens when necessary.
- Outbound telemarketing solicitation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Computer experience, preferably with a PC / Windows Operating System.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Previous customer service experience
- Sales experience can be helpful
- Newspaper knowledge or readership helpful
