Our firm has been providing services in the Flint area since 2000 with a total staff of eight employees, including four CPA’s. We are looking to expand by hiring a Certified Public Accountant who aligns with our values including a commitment to integrity, coworker and client relationships, and work/life balance. Job Description:
A full-time on-site role for a CPA with aspirations of developing a public accounting career. This position includes four key areas:
- Compilations: maintaining general ledgers, including reconciling bank accounts, to prepare financial statements
- Payroll: processing payroll checks and filing monthly/quarterly/annual payroll tax returns including forms 5080, 941, W-2, and 1099
- Tax Returns: preparing tax returns including forms 1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065, and 990
- Audit/Reviews: completing and documenting procedures used to support conclusions reported on the financial statements
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years public accounting experience
- CPA license
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Creative Solutions and QuickBooks
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective problem-solving and communication skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
