To be considered for this role, CassonX are looking to identify someone who love to be the first Compliance hire in their London office, and work in partnership with all global offices creating a unified global compliance culture for the whole business (whilst letting the local compliance officers adopt or local required jurisdictional obligations). You will have experience working in a varied regulatory compliance role for a hedge fund or fund of funds business, experience of enhancing EU and UK compliance frameworks, and potentially experience of working with a compliance consultancy firm that delivers upon their monitoring, ICARA and MLRO reporting responsibilities. Legal, compliance, or financial professional qualifications (e.g., ICA, IMC, CFA, LLB) are desirable.

The role will involve a blend of monitoring, advisory, and project-based work with regular interaction across investment, operations, and legal teams.

• Assist with day-to-day compliance operations including regulatory reporting, monitoring, and surveillance activities.
• Oversee marketing compliance and financial promotions, including review and approval of fund marketing materials and investor communications.
• Support ongoing compliance with the UK regulatory framework (FCA Handbook, SMCR, AIFMD, MiFID II, etc.).
• Maintain and update compliance policies and procedures; contribute to internal training initiatives.
• Conduct due diligence on third-party service providers and underlying fund managers from a regulatory and reputational risk perspective.
• Help manage the firm's compliance calendar and ensure timely submission of FCA filings (e.g., Annex IV).
• Assist in the oversight of personal account dealing (PAD), gifts & entertainment, and conflicts of interest logs.
• Participate in regulatory examinations or audits and assist in drafting responses to inquiries.
