Clinical Social Worker – Department of State Hospitals
Location: Multiple Locations Available
Salary: $6,934 – $9,773/month

The Department of State Hospitals (DSH) is seeking passionate and dedicated Clinical Social Workers to fill multiple full-time, permanent positions across the state. Your Role as a Clinical Social Worker
As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will:
- Conduct Clinical Assessments to identify patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver Therapy Services through both individual and group sessions tailored to each patient’s mental health needs.
- Ensure Patient Safety by performing suicide risk assessments, crisis interventions, and behavioral observations.
- Coordinate Discharge Planning, connecting patients with community-based resources and support systems to ensure continuity of care.
- Support Facility Security by monitoring behavior, reporting concerns, and helping maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
- Engage in Professional Development through training, research, and participation in team meetings and committees.
Qualifications
- License: Valid California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license.
Note: Candidates without current licensure may be appointed but must become licensed within the required timeframe. - Education: Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program recognized by the Council on Social Work Education.

Drug Testing Requirement: Candidates must pass a drug screening as part of the hiring process.
