- Chief Engineer - Limited (CE LTD)
Description
The Chief Engineer (Limited) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all engine room equipment. This includes overseeing maintenance, repairs, and daily engine room operations. The CE works closely with the Captain and the shoreside team and supervises other engine room crew members.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain engines, generators, pumps, self-unloading system, and electrical systems
Perform daily checks and facilitate preventative maintenance program
Keep engine room logs and maintenance records
Supervise and guide other engineers and wipers
Ensure safety and environmental procedures are followed
Coordinate with shoreside support for parts and repairs
Schedule & Benefits:
Rotational sailing schedule- may include rotations such as 60/30 or 90/30, depending on vessel and operational needs

Requirements
USCG Chief Engineer Limited License (Great Lakes/Inland or Near Coastal)
Valid MMC and TWIC
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Tug/barge or similar vessel experience preferred
