Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Planner to join the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role is instrumental in formulating both short-term and long-term business strategies, including quarterly and annual operating plans. The Business Planner will collaborate across departments to synchronize demand, production, and inventory plans.
Responsibilities
Document and convey planning assumptions, modifications, and results to relevant stakeholders.
Establish, maintain, and enhance planning scenarios in Macro Planner.
Develop optimized operating plans to maximize facility utilization, factoring in profitability and delivery performance.
Prepare and validate shipments, booking, and inventory plans.
Communicate tactical and quarterly financial plans to key stakeholder teams including FP&A, Raw Materials, Operations, and Commercial to ensure consensus alignment.
Participate in cross-functional reviews and scenario planning to mitigate risks, capitalize on opportunities, and manage contingencies.
Acquire proficiency in internal systems and support training initiatives as required.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related discipline.
25 years experience in supply chain, including supply or demand planning, operations, procurement, or logistics.
Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with sophisticated planning software preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented and proactive, with flexibility in office and remote working arrangements.
