We’re thrilled to invite a fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon to join our NAPBC-accredited breast center in Buffalo, New York — a region known for its strong medical community, exceptional quality of life, and tight-knit professional networks.
This is a unique opportunity to become part of a highly collaborative, patient-centered, and professionally fulfilling practice, where your expertise will be supported and valued. You’ll work alongside two fellowship-trained breast surgeons and two experienced, full-time mid-level providers in a growing center dedicated to excellence benign and malignant breast disease management.
What You Can Expect
- Structured Monday–Friday schedule designed for work-life balance:
- 2 days/week in the OR
- 2 days/week in clinic
- 1 day/week performing biopsies at our state-of-the-art radiology center
- Shared breast only call
- Comprehensive support team, including:
- Dedicated advanced practice providers, nurse, patient care coordinators, front office staff, and a practice manager
- Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) specializing in genetic counseling and high-risk assessment

Job Summary:
Physician who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of breast issues, including breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Job duties include dealing with surgical and non-surgical treatment of all conditions affecting the breast and related structures, as well as providing comprehensive care for patients suffering from disorders and diseases affecting breast health.
Duties/Responsibilities:
(95%) Patient Care
- Provides a personalized treatment plan for each patient and monitors their care throughout their treatment plan
- Preparing patients for surgery, performing operations to remove cancer and noncancerous conditions, and ensuring effective post-surgical care for your patients
- Collaborate with colleagues, mid-levels, imaging, oncology, and integrative providers and support staff (nurses, navigators, genetic counseling, patient care coordinators, etc) to ensure quality, evidence-based, compassionate patient centered care
- Provide excellent patient care in the ambulatory and inpatient settings
- Perform surgical procedures include mastectomies, lumpectomies, excisional biopsies, and infusaport placement for chemotherapy, axillary surgery including sentinel lymph node biopsy and axillary dissection, oncoplastic closures
- Document clinical notes in the electronic medical record
- Attend weekly Multi-Disciplinary Conference
(5%) Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
- Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
- Knowledge of basic level computer skills
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion
- Skill in written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
- Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change
- Ability to effectively handle details with accuracy
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and on-time approval to work as scheduled
- Ability to deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external customers by communicating with integrity and compassion
- Ability to resolve service recovery issues and understand when to escalate to the next level
- Ability to remain calm in difficult situations
Education and Experience:
- Doctoral degree and successful completion of a five-year relevant residency program is required
- Board certification through the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or equivalent
- Proficient in benign and malignant breast surgery including oncoplasty
Physical Requirements:
- Basic lifting: up to 30 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, stoop and lift and walk without restrictions.
- Requires the use of office equipment, such as computers, fax machines, telephones, and copiers
- Requires computer-related activities for extended periods
- Requires the ability to see, hear, speak, write, and key
