The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Audio Visual (AV) Systems Designer to design and document professional-grade AV systems for corporate meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, and presentation environments. In this role, you will work directly with clients, project managers, and installation teams to create detailed layouts, schematics, and equipment specifications that meet client requirements and uphold industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop AV systems, including video conferencing, audio, and presentation solutions.
Collaborate with clients, sales teams, and project managers to define requirements and propose solutions.
Produce CAD drawings, signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, and equipment lists.
Select and specify AV equipment, DSPs, control systems, and network components.
Stay current on AV technology trends and manufacturer products.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams during installation.
Provide end-user training and ongoing technical support.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving AV system issues.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of proven experience in AV system design, integration, or engineering.
AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, MS-700, or equivalent certification.
Bachelor’s degree or technical institute diploma in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, Revit, D-Tools, or similar AV design software.
Knowledge of DSP configuration and programming (e.g., Biamp, Q-SYS) and AV control systems (Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron).
Working knowledge of IT networking concepts and IP-based AV solutions, including AV-over-IP protocols and system integration.
Preferred Qualifications
Crestron or Q-SYS programming certification.
Experience designing AV solutions for enterprise or large-scale projects.
Hands-on experience operating, installing, and repairing AV equipment.
