JOB DESCRIPTIONCohn Baughman is a captive insurance and reinsurance coverage law office of Century Indemnity Company, a subsidiary within the Chubb Group of Insurers, with offices in Chicago, Illinois, Los Angeles, California and Mount Laurel, New Jersey. The firm recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. Cohn Baughman specializes in litigating complex insurance coverage matters throughout the U.S. for Chubb Companies that arise out of environmental, toxic tort, asbestos and other sophisticated claims. The firm also provides legal advice and opinions for Chubb Companies on myriad coverage issues. Our firm also represents Chubb Insurers in reinsurance matters, including arbitrations. We have an immediate opening for an attorney with experience in insurance coverage litigation. Skills should include drafting pleadings and motions, written discovery, taking and defending depositions, appearing in trial and appellate courts, and participating in settlement meetings and mediations. The candidate also should be knowledgeable about general liability coverage, and coverage issues in complex claims, preferably including environmental, toxic tort and asbestos claims. Excellent analytical, negotiation and written and oral advocacy skills are required, as well as an understanding of key insurance coverage concepts.
