Associate Veterinarian – Flexible Schedule | Equine + Small Animal | Spotsylvania, VA
Spotswood Veterinary Services is a family owned, ambulatory only mixed animal practice in Spotsylvania, Virginia, seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our team. Our practice provides full-service ambulatory equine care, dog and cat wellness, and at-home euthanasia services.
We pride ourselves on practicing thoughtful, individualized medicine with a loyal client base, a supportive team culture, and a strong focus on flexibility and work-life balance. We value personalized, thoughtful medicine over volume, and we strive to build lasting relationships with both clients and their animals.
What We Offer:
- Flexible scheduling – design a full-time or part-time position that works for your life
- Equine on call emergency services shared with another local practice and rotated between four veterinarians (five if you join us!)
- New graduates welcome—we offer mentorship and guidance without micromanagement
- Option for a 3 or 4-day workweek, no pressure to overbook

- Vehicle and equipment provided for ambulatory work.
- Equipment includes digital radiograph machine, ultrasound, terra power float, lactate meter and VMRD SAA/IgG reader

Our Patients:
- Primarily backyard and pleasure horses: general medicine, dentistry, lameness, emergencies
- Small animal focus on wellness care (vaccines, heartworm testing) and end-of-life services

Requirements
