For over 35 years, Hamilton Wenham Veterinary Hospital in Hamilton, MA has served the pets of the North Shore and their families by providing personalized, compassionate care. Our privately owned and independently operated hospital is excited to be looking for an associate veterinarian to join our team. We continue to build upon our excellent reputation within the community and are fortunate to enjoy loyal clientele and experienced team members, many of whom have been with the practice for over ten years. Our doctors pride themselves on being able to manage complex cases while having ready access to urgent and specialty care when needed. Hospital leadership intimately understands and supports the needs of working parents as evidenced by a generous paid parental leave policy and flexible scheduling. There are no after-hours responsibilities or weekend requirements.

 We are seeking a highly motivated veterinarian who embraces our core mission: to practice compassionate, evidence-based medicine within a culture that recognizes the need to care for the caretakers. We believe that contextualized care better serves both the patient and their families and that collaboration and communication are an essential part of practice.  A full-time doctor would work four days a week from 8-5. Schedules for part-time DVMs would be negotiable dependent on practice needs. While an experienced veterinarian is preferred, an individual who demonstrates humility in their practice of medicine, adaptability to working with different personalities, and resiliency would be prioritized irrespective of skill level. Access to Standards (formerly Plumbs) and structured mentorship programs (MentorVet) will be provided to all new veterinarian team members as part of the hiring package.

 Located in downtown Hamilton, Massachusetts, we have ready access to neighboring seaside towns and beaches as well as to numerous state parks (Bradley Palmer and Willowdale), Greenbelt properties, and other conservation areas perfect for exploring the best of New England in every season. Many families move to Hamilton to raise a family and educate their children within the excellent public school system.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
• Current and valid state licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Massachusetts or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
