- Associate Veterinarian Ownership Track
Description
Job description:
Westerville Veterinary Clinic is a busy, 9-doctor practice in central Ohio. We are seeking an associate veterinarian for a unique role: the opportunity to be mentored into both a skilled clinician and a future business owner at one of our upcoming branch clinics.
The Role
This is a one-year commitment designed as a launchpad into ownership.
Schedule includes at least three weekdays from 4pm–10pm, two weekends out of four, and additional daytime shifts (8–4 or 9–5) to complete full-time hours.
These shifts give you exposure to our high standard of medicine while allowing you to identify opportunities as a future owner.
After one year, as you establish your own clinic, you will set your schedule, hire associates, and shape your client base.
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who still has the passion they felt before and during veterinary school, and at graduation. Skills and knowledge matter, but genuine enthusiasm and love for the work matter more — clients and colleagues see it in how you approach every case.
Benefits
We offer a full benefits package at or above industry standards, plus intangibles that make a difference:
Ability to round cases to an evening doctor so you can go home and truly disconnect.
You will never be scheduled without another doctor present.
Full-time ER staff to support urgent cases.
Services You’ll Work With
General practice open 7 days/week
Advanced dentistry with digital dental x-ray and IM3 unit
Routine & emergency surgeries
Full internal medicine workups
24/7 monitoring for hospitalized patients
Digital radiology with boarded consultations
Ultrasound with internal medicine consultation
In-house IDEXX testing and Imagyst cytology (digital referral results in hours)
In-house urinalysis and EMR
In House Consultations with boarded IM, and Cardiology specialists
Consultation with Oncology Specialist
In-house orthopedic surgeries
Freedom to pursue and develop your own areas of interest
This role is designed for a veterinarian who wants more than “just another job.” It is a rare opportunity to learn, grow, and take ownership of your future.
