Associate Provost for Research Operations
Under the direction of the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Associate Provost for Research Operations serves as the chief research officer of the University and is responsible for the planning, development, administration and advocacy of all aspects of research, scholarship and creative activities aligned with the university's mission and strategic plan. This position oversees and supports research engagement by students, faculty and staff, and promotes academic excellence and entrepreneurial initiatives, working closely with faculty and administrators to encourage, facilitate and expand research initiatives across all academic disciplines and instructional sites. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited university with an earned doctorate or terminal degree; a minimum of eight years of significant and successful administrative experience in a comprehensive university/college with a diverse student population; and a highly distinguished record of research administration and advancement is required. Equivalent education and/or experience may be determined by the university. Candidate must have extensive knowledge of compliance principles, terminology and regulatory requirements that impact the research endeavors of an institution; the ability to effectively collaborate with faculty and staff in units that vary greatly in size and organizational structure; and excellent oral and written communication skills.

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Law, the annual salary range for this position is: $200,000 to $240,000. This position may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, a retirement plan and benefits for work life balance.
