Overview:

Quinnipiac University's invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Coach, Women's Softball. This position will assist in program management including coaching, administration, recruitment and coordination of a collegiate Women's Softball program.
The University is a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Hockey League (ECAC), the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), the Big East Conference and is an NCAA Division I member sponsoring 21 varsity sports.

Responsibilities:

• Coach student-athletes during team practices as well as home and away contests
• Primarily responsible for the instruction of pitchers
• Assist with recruiting (on and off campus as assigned), scheduling, budget administration and team promotion
• Assist in the future development of Women's Softball alumni and community relations
• Assist the Head Coach with daily/weekly/seasonal practice planning
• Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University, NCAA, MAAC Conference, ECAC Conference and Big East Conference rules and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
• Relevant experience may be substituted for some
  education requirements
  
  

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in softball required
• Softball skills required
• Effective oral and written communication skills required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage a 2-3 hour practice
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds
