Description
Overview:Quinnipiac University's invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Coach, Women's Softball. This position will assist in program management including coaching, administration, recruitment and coordination of a collegiate Women's Softball program.
The University is a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Hockey League (ECAC), the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), the Big East Conference and is an NCAA Division I member sponsoring 21 varsity sports.

Responsibilities:
- Coach student-athletes during team practices as well as home and away contests
- Primarily responsible for the instruction of pitchers
- Assist with recruiting (on and off campus as assigned), scheduling, budget administration and team promotion
- Assist in the future development of Women's Softball alumni and community relations
- Assist the Head Coach with daily/weekly/seasonal practice planning
- Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University, NCAA, MAAC Conference, ECAC Conference and Big East Conference rules and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
- Relevant experience may be substituted for some
education requirements
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in softball required
- Softball skills required
- Effective oral and written communication skills required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage a 2-3 hour practice
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds
