The Department of Finance at Western Kentucky University invites applications for a faculty position in Finance in the Gordon Ford College of Business for Fall 2026. We are seeking qualified candidates for either:
1. Assistant Professor of Finance - Primary teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses in corporate finance and investments with availability in the banking or financial planning area, depending upon interest. This position involves both teaching and research responsibilities.
2. Pedagogical Assistant Professor of Finance - Primary teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses in corporate finance and investments with availability in the banking or financial planning area, depending upon interest. This position focuses exclusively on teaching excellence with a 12-credit hour per semester teaching load and no research responsibilities.
With the filling of this position, there will be nine full-time faculty in the Department of Finance. This faculty position will be a vital part of a growing program within the Gordon Ford College of Business. We are seeking candidates demonstrating evidence of their ability to provide leadership on curriculum development and student success in Finance.

Requirements
For Assistant Professor of Finance:
- Doctorate in Finance or a related field required. ABDs near completion will also be considered.
- Evidence of engaged teaching and research potential required.
For Pedagogical Assistant Professor of Finance:
- Master’s degree in finance or a related field required. Doctorate in finance or a related field will also be considered.
- Minimum of three years of relevant professional work experience in finance, banking, or related industries.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness or strong potential for teaching excellence.
- Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education and student success.
