Assistant or Associate Professor of Engineering
The Department of Engineering at Westmont College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor. A full professor candidate may be considered in rare cases. Candidates must hold a PhD in engineering. The Westmont program grants an ABET accredited general engineering degree. The successful candidate will be asked to teach courses in areas such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and dynamics. Candidates
should also have a desire for interdisciplinary collaboration and a track record of excellent and innovative teaching.
This is a tenure-track position. The anticipated teaching load is 3 courses per semester with one possibly in May Term instead. Candidates with an active research program are desired. A regular professional presence in engineering consulting could also serve as scholarly activity.
