Overview

The Assistant Golf Professional will assist the Head Golf Professional in managing the day-to-day golf operations and is responsible for providing hospitality-focused service to our guests.

Experience Required

Experience in the golf business is preferred.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate the point of sale application as it applies to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing.
• Reconciles daily sales and creates deposits (if afternoon shift).
• Promotes Thompson Golf Group initiatives and values.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop. Assists the retail buyer with merchandising and sales.
• Assists with golf outings including scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, and hole assignments.
• Assists in the supervision of department members that may include, but is not limited to: Starters, Player Assistants, and Guest Service Attendants.
• Should maintain excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.
  Primary requirements:
  
  • Able to stand or move for 6 to 8 hours if needed.
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds if needed.
  • Able to multi-task as needed.
  • Occasionally work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must have a valid driver license.
  • Available to work days, evenings, weekends and some holidays.
  
  Preferred skills:
  
  • Knowledge of golf or previous experience.
  • Able to work in a quickly paced environment.
