- Assistant Director, Advancement Talent Management
Description
The Assistant Director of Talent Management plays a critical role in building a high-performing, mission-driven team that advances the university's philanthropic goals. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Talent Management for USF Advancement, this role serves as an integral part of the Talent Management team with responsibility for guiding and enhancing the full-cycle Talent Acquisition and Onboarding experience for the USF Advancement team of approximately 200 FTE. The incumbent will shape and enhance recruitment strategies, our Bull Foundations onboarding program and collaborate across departments to attract and onboard exceptional talent aligned with USF Advancement's mission and culture.This position requires a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of four years related exempt experience, including two years of supervisory experience. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred along with a strong experience of full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and selection strategies. Preference will be given to expereience in development, fundraising, alumni relations, or higher eduction.Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.

• With a primary focus on fundraising and key leadership roles, cultivate and expand a diverse network of qualified candidates using innovative sourcing techniques aligned with industry and sector best practices.
• Partner with hiring managers to gain a clear understanding of hiring needs, team dynamics, and departmental goals, providing thoughtful support throughout the sourcing, recruitment and selection process.
• Represent USF Advancement at conferences and networking events across the country, approximately four to six times per year and occasionally in partnership with leadership, hiring managers, or other members of the Talent Management team.
• Collaborate with the Advancement Communications and Marketing team to support strategic employer branding and targeted outreach efforts aimed at attracting top talent to USF Advancement.
Candidate Experience & Selection
• In partnership with Advancement Human Resources, review applications for key positions to assess alignment with role requirements.
• Serving as an internal search partner, coordinate and conduct interviews for fundraising and other select positions, providing thoughtful candidate recommendations for hiring manager consideration.
• Create a positive and welcoming candidate experience by managing logistics such as candidate communication, interview agendas and hotel partnerships to ensure a smooth and professional visit.
• Organize and document necessary steps of the selection process while maintaining the integrity of university recruiting systems and procedures.
Onboarding & Culture Integration
• Equip new employees with the necessary knowledge, relationships and behaviors needed to successfully integrate into USF Advancement and thrive in their roles.
• Serve as the primary host for Bull Foundations, USF Advancement's comprehensive onboarding
program, which includes new hire orientation, onboarding week, cultural touchpoints and more.
• Collaborate with the URISERS cultural ambassador team to integrate their energy and ideas into meaningful onboarding experiences that reflect the values and culture of USF Advancement.
Strategic Talent Initiatives
• Collaborate with the Talent Management team to continuously improve programs that support recruitment, engagement, retention, and performance across USF Advancement.
• With a growth mindset, keep abreast of talent management best practices and share new findings on a regular basis.
• Invest time to understand our organization and the people who make it thrive.
• Collaborate with, coach and inspire leaders throughout the organization to adopt talent management best practices and join in the effort of creating a highly engaged workforce.
