Horizon Health Network is seeking Anesthesiologists and Family Physician Anesthetists join our collaborative teams in beautiful New Brunswick, Canada! For American Board Certified Physicians, the path to licensure is straightforward!
The physician will be supported by the Chief of the Department of Anesthesia on all matters related to clinical practice, quality of care, and patient care, and by the Medical Director for guidance with contractual and administrative matters

Remuneration details will be shared once a practice location within our beautiful province has been confirmed.
Successful applicants may be eligible to receive the following:
- Urban recruitment incentive of $100,000.00 with a return of service.
- Moving expense reimbursement is also available.
What you will do
- Provide consultations for inpatients, outpatients, ER, obstetric, CCU, and surgical patients, including pre-surgical and pre-anesthetic assessments.
- Deliver anesthesia, acute, and chronic pain services.
- Offer telephone consultations to colleagues as needed.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, nurses, and peers.
- Attend departmental meetings and participate in committees.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on patient care and education.
- Adhere to evidence-based practices to ensure high standards of care.
- Participate in departmental on-call coverage.
- Support the mission, values, and strategic goals of the Health Authority.
- Perform other duties as assigned by departmental or hospital leadership.
Note: These responsibilities are the basic and prime duties associated with this position; other related and allied duties may be assigned from time to time as may be necessary to the operation of Horizon Health Network.
Who you are
- Certified Specialist in Anesthesia and in Acute & Chronic Pain Services
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick, in good standing
- CMPA malpractice insurance (appropriate to scope of practice)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills
- Reliable attendance and physically able to perform duties
The physician must also meet continuing education requirements, adhere to departmental and health authority policies, comply with relevant legislation, and follow professional ethical standards set by regulatory bodies.
