We have three advanced heart failure and transplant opportunities available in Illinois and Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Grafton, and the Chicagoland area.
Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
This acclaimed medical center offers the most comprehensive heart care in the state of Wisconsin, including a highly rated cardiac surgery program, award winning interventional and heart failure programs, successful heart transplant (including multi-organ transplants) and durable mechanical circulatory support programs, state's largest remote hemodynamic monitoring program, accredited pulmonary hypertension, congenital heart disease and cardio-oncology programs, advance electrophysiology interventional program, a 24/7 state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab with options for advanced percutaneous interventions and cardiogenic shock team, and the state's largest structural heart program.
- 1.0 FTE clinical practice opportunity
- Outreach clinic ‘approximately’ one day per week
- Proficiency in cath lab procedures, including invasive hemodynamic assessments, diagnostic coronary angiograms, myocardial biopsies, urgent temporary MCS devices (optional) and PA pressure sensor implants (optional)
- Encourage participation in medical education of general cardiology & AHFT fellows and internal medicine residents and medical students, and regional CV conferences hosted by Advocate Health
- Participation in ongoing advanced HF, transplant, MCS & PAH research
- Call 1:7 for AHFT team
- Salary range $540,890-$540,890 plus incentive bonus for quality metrics

Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, Wisconsin
This growing practice includes 7 full-time cardiologists serving a 132-bed hospital and a fully staffed heart failure clinic that serves patients with heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, remote hemodynamic monitoring and cardio-oncology needs. The practice is affiliated with Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center for surgical advanced heart failure interventions (heart transplants, mechanical circulatory assist devices, advanced HF research).
This medical center offers comprehensive heart care including complex cardiac surgery, a dedicated electrophysiology lab to treat cardiac arrhythmias, a 24/7 state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab with options for advanced percutaneous interventions, a growing structural heart program and cardiac & pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
- 1.0 FTE clinical practice opportunity with immense growth
- Practice opportunity includes responsibility for growing the various HF programs and multi-disciplinary partnerships
- Participating with general cardiology for calls/coverage (cardiology call 1:4-1:5)
- Staffing Echo and Stress lab (including cardiopulmonary stress tests), along with general cardiology
- Full-time dedicated Heart Failure Advanced Practice Clinician/Nurse Practitioner for inpatient and outpatient assistance, in addition to two Registered Nurses
- Fully functional cardiac catheterization lab with the opportunity to perform diagnostic coronary angiograms, invasive hemodynamic assessments, PA pressure sensor implants, urgent temporary MCS devices and myocardial biopsies
- Salary range $540,890-$540,890 plus incentive bonus for quality metrics

The hospital provides emergency care for more than 105,000 patient visits annually and has one of the busiest Level I trauma centers in Illinois.

- 1.0 FTE clinical practice opportunity
- 10 heart failure physicians, interests include LVAD, transplant, amyloidosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, sarcoidosis, cardio-oncology
- Approximately 2-3 days per week clinic
- One week of service monthly
- 4-5 nights of call monthly
- Right heart catherizations and biopsies, echo, and intraoperative TEE
- 2024 statistics: 68 LVADs and 26 heart transplants
- Opportunities to see cardio-oncology patients, hypertrophic CM, amyloidosis, sarcoidosis, pulmonary hypertension.
- Salary range $500,000 - $500,000
