Accounts Payable Processor

Full Time: Towson, MD

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking a detail-oriented individual for an Accounts Payable Processor opportunity in our Towson Maryland office. The person will assist timely processing of invoices and payments to vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Proper vendor coding
• Invoice data entry
• Recognition of remittance address
• Recognition of invoice numbers
• Balance and review edits and purchase journals
• Creating cash disbursement journals
• Print or create checks and direct deposit data
• Calling vendors to verify bank information
• Calling vendors to verify invoice and statement amounts
• Scanning invoices
• Reconciling vendor statements

Qualifications:

• Accounting degree or candidate preferred
• Well organized
• Comfortable handling high volume of electronic transactions

Skills:

• Telephone communication skills required
• Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
• Software utilized: CMiC, Excel, Kofax
• This is an entry level position, the ideal candidate must have or have the ability to grow into the above qualifications.
