Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
This position will support the SE District 4-H Program Development Coordinator (PDC) and will be responsible for management of SE District 4-H Expansion funds. It's an essential role assisting the PDC in arranging and notifying District 4-H faculty and staff of training, meetings, events and deadlines, answering phones, and other communication for the SE District Extension and related District events. Attendance at 4-H events held in multiple locations across the state and some travel will be expected. This Program Specialist role is an non-exempt position. A high level of independent judgment and confidentiality is necessary to carry out essential duties and the incumbent is expected to manage the Extension program administration duties along with the program area responsibilities. This person works cooperatively with the District PDC and District Extension Director.

Duties/Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, allocate and prioritize 4-H workload to meet operating requirements and supervise day to day program operations. Duties include preparation for district and state 4-H events and on-site 4-H event management with some travel involved; using established electronic and local systems help manage county registration and enrollment requirements. Produce travel authorizations for county staff attending events and other logistics. Work with district 4-H youth board of directors, manage correspondence of information and travel arrangements for group.
Percentage of time 30 Duties/Responsibilities
Assist with 4-H program details including faculty and staff trainings. Includes managing registration and set up such as scheduling facilities, speakers, A/V equipment, webinars, online meetings and coordinating meals when applicable. Prepare electronic and printed materials for trainings and events using established office and electronic systems; track county participation and other accountability data; maintain county 4-H program files.
Percentage of time 30 Duties/Responsibilities
Organize and interpret financial data and monetary strategic planning for all 4-H events for year. Provide detailed summary of each event for administration's review. Manage 4-H PDC travel requests and expense account support. Responsible for 4-H supplies and inventory.

Provide technical support for managing district 4-H communications/correspondence to/from staff in county offices. Answer incoming calls, emails, fax, etc., relating to any and all 4-H events, programs, materials.

Provide other assistance as requested by district administrative team to support programs and trainings for SE District Extension. May include printed or electronic materials, scheduling meetings/facilities, managing registration, troubleshooting.
